ST-Sorb13 has been specifically designed for formaldehyde. It facilitates a rapid adsorption process that remains unaffected by air humidity. In less than one hour, ST-Sorb13 achieves a 100% removal of formaldehyde, whereas commonly used adsorbents typically do not exceed 30% adsorption efficiency.

ST-Sorb13 is highly selective for formaldehyde. Its high storage capacity is maintained no matter the humidity rate or the presence of other Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). In contrast, other specialized materials prove to be inefficient for formaldehyde removal in the presence of other pollutants

Whether it's throughout the seasons or within a single day, humidity and air temperature undergo numerous fluctuations. A car cabin can undergo a temperature increase of 30 °C in few hours, the humidity rate can strongly flucuated in houses etc. While activated carbon can be significantly affected by such changes, ST-Sorb13 remains unaffected, demonstrating resilience to variations in temperature and humidity. ST-Sorb13 doesn't release any trapped formaldehyde below 75°C
